Fisheye and Snow

Sigma 10mm. Diagonal Fisheye (Tungsten Light)
A few weeks ago, after getting back from India, i chanced upon this curious Lomo Fisheye Camera for around 50 Francs in a department store. It uses traditional film and is meant, i think , more just for creative use as its housing is plastic, and the overall look of it shouts 'Stupid if you're looking for durability!'. I was paining for one and i mentioned it to my partner. What happened after was like Inception that it scared me. Earlier that month, we were already discussing about being slow on the expenses as the India trip used quite much more than we expected, I was in agreement, naturally, so i didn't expect what would transpire next. It seems, according to him, a few weeks later, he already had the Fisheye lens in his mind a long time ago, and the moment I mentioned it to him, he evolved my 50Sfr. idea into a full blown one, specifically, a 700Sfr. A few days later I would find myself hunting for the Sigma 10mm Diagonal Fisheye to see it first. I wouldn't have minded it normally, as I like this somewhat type of hunting, but what made it horrible is the fact that we are still way in the heart of winter. the shops special camera shops are not near to each other, and each one only gave disappointments, as the typical scene were either (1) the salesperson would have NO effing idea what the hell a Fisheye lens is, or (2) they have heard of a Fisheye, but they don't have it in stock and they would have to order it, the price about 50% more than the ones i can order online. Great. So much for 'Specialty' store. Fast forward to this slowly dragging story, we purchased it online, and though we claim that we are very happy with it, the test will be on our trip to Rome at the end of the month. There we would take it for a full test drive.

Enough dilly-dallying, I have school works to do...

Adieu
